Chai Contributions

There are times that you might like to honor a special occasion (b'nai mitzvah, wedding, etc.), remember a deceased friend or relative, or wish someone a speedy recovery. May we suggest sending a tribute or donation to Temple Beth Torah in honor of that special occasion, in memory of that special person, or as a get well wish. 

Contributions are gratefully accepted in any amount but consider a Chai Contribution in an increment of $18*.  Gifts will automatically be directed to the General Fund unless a specific fund is designated. Below is the list of Temple Beth Torah’s current named funds and a short description of the purpose of each:

        Music Fund -- This fund is used to enhance services, support musical programming, special events, and the training and education of our music leaders.

        Torah Fund – This is used to fund the costs of repairs and maintenance of the Torah. Additionally, as the fund grows we look forward
to purchasing a second Torah.

        Prayer Book Fund – This fund is used to purchase Mishkan Tefillah prayer books and Chumash (Torah).

        Youth Scholarship Fund – This fund supports participation in learning experiences with other Jewish teens throughout the region.

        Religious School Enrichment Fund – This fund supports special programming and professional development for our teachers and Madrichim.

        Facilities Fund – This fund supports the current and future needs of the synagogue and religious school facilities.

        General Fund - Contributions to this fund are used to pay everyday operating expenses of the synagogue and support programming
not included in the general budget.

 * Chai means “living” and has the numerical value of 18.

 When you make a Chai Contribution honoring a simcha, offering appreciation or good wishes, or remembering a deceased friend or relative, your    gift will be acknowledged as well as mentioned in the TBT Newsletter. An acknowledgement will also be sent to the recipient family, if applicable.
